I learned so much about water resources engineering and gained valuable hands-on experience in day-to-day environmental science and engineering activities, such as field work, report writing, real world data processing, the use of programs such as ArcGIS, and agency consultation. I also learned a great deal about the administrative side of running an engineering company, such as filling out time sheets and billable hours, proposal writing, and marketing. I came to appreciate the small size of the company and got to know my coworkers really well, all of which contributing to me accepting my full-time role with the company.
