JOB DESCRIPTION

Our company has an opening for a Civil/Water Resources Engineer with experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, civil/site design, and stream and riverine assessments at our Henniker, NH office. This position will be responsible for engineering design for restoration (e.g., dam removal, culvert replacement, streambank stabilization, habitat improvement, flood mitigation), hydropower licensing (e.g., recreation, fish passage, dredging), and other projects. This position offers opportunities for growth into project management and business development responsibilities commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and review (QA/QC) feasibility studies, technical reports, design plans and specifications, quantity take-offs, engineering cost estimates, construction sequencing plans, and permit applications
  • Prepare supporting design reports to document engineering calculations and design
  • Assist with bidding and construction phase services
  • Contribute to technical discussions with regulators and clients as well as public meetings
  • Manage projects, budgets, scopes, and schedules (commensurate with experience)
  • Interact with clients, project partners, agencies, and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in civil engineering (MS preferred)
  • Registered as an Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience preferred in the following areas:
    • Evaluation and design of civil projects
    • Specification writing, cost estimating, permitting, bidding/construction phase services desired
    • Hydrologic/hydraulic analysis desired
  • Proficient with:
    • Design software such as AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil3D
    • GIS desired
    • HEC-RAS desired
