Our services

Engineering & Hydropower Engineering – Our hydropower engineering services center on the design of dams, hydroelectric power engineering developments, stream restoration projects, habitat improvements, fish passage structures, and recreational facilities.

Hydropower FERC Licensing – Our staff are experienced in all regulatory, engineering, and environmental disciplines related to hydropower development. We have led Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing and permitting efforts on more than 100 hydropower projects.

Dam Safety & Dam Safety Inspections – Gomez and Sullivan is an industry leader in dam safety analysis and design. Our professional staff have participated in numerous dam safety inspections, analyzing dams to ensure integrity, stability and the structural adequacy.

Environmental & Hydrology Studies – Gomez and Sullivan have a diverse team of environmental professionals experienced in designing and conducting hydrology studies and hydropower environmental studies across a wide range of resource disciplines.

Hydrology & Hydraulics – We have a diverse team of environmental professionals experienced in designing and conducting hydrology studies and hydropower environmental studies across a wide range of resource disciplines. 

Information & GIS Data Management – We are an ESRI business partner offering a variety of GIS and data management services to support our projects. Our hydropower information management services include GIS data management, GIS database management, geospatial data management, GIS application development, thematic mapping, and RTK GPS data acquisition.

Fisheries and Fish Passage – We utilize our expertise in aquatic science and engineering disciplines to investigate and solve fish movement and passage issues. Our primary fisheries management services include fish community and spawning surveys, habitat assessments, instream flow studies, and fish entrainment studies.

Stream & Habitat Restoration –

Gomez and Sullivan utilize an in-depth understanding of ecology as well as regulatory requirements to design ecosystem-based restorations in complex riverine and wetland environments. Our ecological restoration and management service is used by our clients to develop successful stream and habitat restoration projects. We assist our clients by sorting through and interpreting large quantities of data acquired from restoration feasibility studies and assessments
