JOB DESCRIPTION

Our company has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant in our Henniker, NH office location.  This position will provide office and technical support for the entire office.  Our small-office environment is perfect for the individual who enjoys working within a collaborative team on a wide variety of tasks and projects.   We are seeking a committed, detail-oriented individual who will be able to utilize their knowledge and experience for our clients’ immediate and future projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain day-to-day office activities by assisting with a wide variety of general administrative tasks, including but not limited to: inventorying and purchasing office supplies, conference logistics, travel arrangements, expense reports, etc.
  • Compose, proof, edit, format, and compile documents, including, but not limited to: correspondence, reports, proposals, materials for publications and presentations, etc.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the industry’s technical jargon, our company’s capabilities, history, employee skillsets, and project experience to assist with proposal development.
  • Schedule and coordinate client and company meetings, office events, and annual activities
  • Address and distribute incoming communications
  • Assist with basic IT and MS Office support as well as routine maintenance/troubleshooting for office equipment including computers, printers, etc.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks/projects to assist staff as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree plus a minimum of two years of administrative experience
  • Strong aptitude for computers and ability to learn new software and programs
  • Advanced or expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat, including advanced formatting skills in MS Word (use of styles, table of contents, footnotes, section breaks, headers and footers, hyperlinking, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat (compilation of large documents with hyperlinks, multiple figures, appendices, etc.)
  • Advanced writing and editing skills, including technical writing
  • Ability and desire to understand the industry and our firm’s capabilities and write about our various fields of work,
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of organization
  • Disposition to manage confidential information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

DESIRED:

  • Experience with
    • MS SharePoint, Publisher, or Project,
    • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
  • Willingness and desire to engage in occasional field work/recreational studies along with an experienced crew of engineers and/or environmental scientists
  • Related applicable experience in any of the following areas: contracts (legal/management), permitting, IT helpdesk, bookkeeping, website management, onboarding
